If you find a great road let us know so we can share.
The best roads I have found are those that are curvy but not tricky. Around Idaho, highway 55 from Horseshoe Bend to the exit of the canyon at mile marker 101 is pretty good. There are only 2 or 3 increasing radius turns where you can get a little tight and those are well marked. The rest of the road is easily navigated as a pretty constant speed with engine drag braking being sufficient and yet allows you to ride the road fast enough to lead the pack. Another great example is Lolo Pass. This road is just plain fun. Sweeping curves that create a momentum that makes you want to go on and on. The only problem is that the 55 MPH limit seems a little slow for the design and you want to creep up in your speed. 65 seems very comfortable - BUT you have to be in constant vigilence for the single Idaho State Patrolman that seems to meet his ticket quota every day. Ouch, take if from a friend that a ticket for 65 MPH will cost you about $135, not to mention the record it leaves behind.
